Interview with RESTOKE Ambassador Greg Waddell April 21, 2015 06:00
RESTOKE, a lifestyle apparel line created to inspire the pursuit of stoke and to fire you up to never stop doing what excites you, has an amazing group of Brand Ambassadors that supports and represents the RESTOKE brand. These unique individuals are not only passionate about what it is that stokes them, each one sees no limit in what they can do; they pursue their passion and NEVER STOP.
We recently caught up with Greg Waddell, skiing, skate and sailing enthusiast, to check in and see what he has been up to and find out more of what ignites him and why he’s passionate to be a part of the RESTOKE family.
First, let me start by saying that we are so happy to have you as a RESTOKE Ambassador! What were your initial thoughts about the RESTOKE brand?
Thanks a lot! I am excited to be part of the RESTOKE family as a Brand Ambassador because RESTOKE is all about encouraging stoke, and to never stop doing what excites you. When you wear the RESTOKE logo, whether on a tee, hoodie, tank or hat, you’re reminded to do whatever it is that keeps you stoked.
Tell us about your background, where are you from?
When did you experience your first stoke?
My Dad taught me how to ski on the east coast when I was four. It wasn't until my first ski trip to Utah that I realized how important this activity was in my life. My dad showed me a whole new aspect of skiing. Little did he know that trip would inspire me to move out west and become a ski bum. He started me out early in both skiing and sailing and I haven’t stopped.

What do you do now to RESTOKE?
Skiing, sailing, surfing, hiking, and skateboarding all keep me feeling fueled.
Are there any other artists, individuals or organizations that inspire you or your work?
For sure. I remember watching "The Blizzard of Aahhs" and was blown away by Glen Plake and his sweet shades and mohwak. Some others that inspire me are skiers Seth Morrison, J.P. Auclair, Trevor & Kye Peterson. Surfers Craig Anderson and Dane Reynolds.
Best stoke to date?
That's a tough one. I'd have to say sailing to the Caribbean with my Dad and Cousin was pretty awesome. But, so wasn't skiing in New Zealand and Europe.
Whats your goal for your next big Restoke? Doing What?
I've always wanted to ski in Canada. I also hope to sail around the world one day.
